This module explores the profound connection between faith, health and spiritual and religious practices.. Participants will review scientifically validated benefits of spiritual practices, including increased cortical thickness, reduced suicide risk, and remarkable healing outcomes linked to Christian prayer. Near-death experience studies, the complexity of life, and DNA as evidence for intelligent design are also discussed.

Biblical healing principles are discussed highlighting scripture-based health practices, medicinal uses of biblical herbs, and neuroplasticity in relation to renewing the mind. Handouts, including spirituality assessments and biblical worksheets, support integrating faith-based approaches into healthcare, addressing topics like addiction, forgiveness, and grief.

The Functional Medicine Business Mastery module will equip you with essential skills to build and grow a thriving functional medicine practice. Topics include business formation, pricing, client enrollment strategies, and effective networking. Students will also learn to craft a strong marketing strategy by identifying their ideal client, mastering discovery calls, and leveraging social media and referrals. Comprehensive resources, including pricing guides, client enrollment templates, and marketing planners, provide practical tools for success.

In this module, you will gain an understanding of how to work with a client from start to finish through a series of video examples. At the end of the module, you will be able to identify strategies for performing discovery calls, learn how to perform client assessments and lab reviews and understand how to utilize your practice management forms for new client intake.

In this module, you will receive an overview of practice management forms and templates then learn how to upload them into your practice management software, and understand how to utilize practice forms and templates with your clients.

In this module, you will gain an understanding of how to collaborate with your client’s medical team, receive an overview of how to write letters to patient providers requesting medical treatment and collaboration. Explore a variety of physician letter templates, and how to use them in your practice.

Review 4 real life case studies, all case study materials provided.

Meet the CFMA Founder

Melissa Schreibfeder, BSN, RN, BC-FMP, is a registered nurse, board-certified functional medicine practitioner, experienced healthcare educator, and public speaker dedicated to advancing functional medicine education among healthcare professionals.

A graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Melissa has pursued extensive continuing education in functional medicine and holds board certification as a Functional Medicine Practitioner. After overcoming her own complex health challenges, she built a successful functional medicine practice—an experience that ultimately inspired her to expand into professional functional medicine education.

Melissa first founded Functional Nurse Academy (FNA) to provide comprehensive functional medicine education and business mentorship specifically for nurses. As the program grew, increasing demand emerged from healthcare professionals outside of nursing who wanted access to the same comprehensive educational model. In response, Melissa established Christian Functional Medicine Academy (CFMA) as FNA's sister school, expanding this education to a broader community of licensed healthcare professionals and certified health and wellness coaches.

Across Melissa's functional medicine educational programs, more than 700 healthcare practitioners have enrolled, establishing her as an experienced leader in functional medicine education. As an educator and public speaker, Melissa has also provided functional medicine–based education to more than 5,000 healthcare professionals through conferences, summits, professional trainings, and educational events.
