Topics include chronic fatigue syndrome, mitochondrial dysfunction, mold and mycotoxin-related illnesses, and a functional approach to testing and interventions. This module explores the profound connection between faith, health and spiritual and religious practices.. Participants will review scientifically validated benefits of spiritual practices, including increased cortical thickness, reduced suicide risk, and remarkable healing outcomes linked to Christian prayer. Near-death experience studies, the complexity of life, and DNA as evidence for intelligent design are also discussed.

Biblical healing principles are discussed highlighting scripture-based health practices, medicinal uses of biblical herbs, and neuroplasticity in relation to renewing the mind. Handouts, including spirituality assessments and biblical worksheets, support integrating faith-based approaches into healthcare, addressing topics like addiction, forgiveness, and grief.

The Functional Medicine Business Mastery module will equip you with essential skills to build and grow a thriving functional medicine practice. Topics include business formation, pricing, client enrollment strategies, and effective networking. Students will also learn to craft a strong marketing strategy by identifying their ideal client, mastering discovery calls, and leveraging social media and referrals. Comprehensive resources, including pricing guides, client enrollment templates, and marketing planners, provide practical tools for success.

In this module, you will gain an understanding of how to work with a client from start to finish through a series of video examples. At the end of the module, you will be able to identify strategies for performing discovery calls, learn how to perform client assessments and lab reviews and understand how to utilize your practice management forms for new client intake.

In this module, you will receive an overview of practice management forms and templates then learn how to upload them into your practice management software, and understand how to utilize practice forms and templates with your clients.

In this module, you will gain an understanding of how to collaborate with your client’s medical team, receive an overview of how to write letters to patient providers requesting medical treatment and collaboration. Explore a variety of physician letter templates, and how to use them in your practice.

Review 4 real life case studies, all case study materials provided.

Reflection of the course content and receive additional resource materials to help you succeed in private practice.

After you have submitted your course evaluation and assessment you will receive a certificate of completion which will automatically qualify you for multiple functional medicine board certifications through both the American Association of Natural Wellness Practitioners and the Association of Natural Wellness Coaches. Meet the CFMA Founder

Melissa Schreibfeder is a devoted follower of Christ, registered nurse and a seasoned educator. With over a decade of experience, she holds board certifications as a functional medicine practitioner and nurse coach.

Her personal health challenges, including battling an undiagnosed autoimmune condition and chronic Lyme disease, ignited Melissa's journey into functional medicine. Through firsthand experience, she witnessed the profound impact of functional medicine in reversing disease processes.

Melissa's professional journey has encompassed roles as a nurse educator and influential public speaker, where she has dedicated herself to educating and empowering others. Frustrated with the limitations of the conventional medical model—both as a nurse and a patient—Melissa founded a private practice focused on functional medicine. Here, she champions patient rights, addresses root causes of illnesses, and implements comprehensive lifestyle and nutritional interventions to foster healing.

Driven by her success in clinical practice, Melissa established both Christian Functional Medicine Academy and Functional Nurse Academy a cornerstone of her mission to transform healthcare.
